WEDDINGS
& COMMITMENT
CEREMONIES
Your
wedding or commitment day is as special and as individual
as you. Everything about it should reflect your uniqueness
-- especially your ceremony. This special day in your lives
offers you the opportunity to publicly express your love
for each other and to make your own special promises and
vows to each other.
It is also my pleasure to conduct 'same gender' marriages
and commitment ceremonies.
Creating
your own ceremony
Together, we'll
write a ceremony that tells the story of who you are together!
Your
ceremony will be rich with the personal touches that reflect
your unique ~
Values and dreams
Religious or spiritual tradition and preferences (or none,
if that's the case)
Vision for the life you'll create together
Love and commitment inspiring your desire to be married
or take the step of commitment

Resources
we'll use
Couple questionnaire to help me get to know you
Form for you ceremony's logistics
Outline of a typical ceremony - our template for yours
Suggestions about local vendors from my personal experience.
They offer the complete range of services you'll require
-- event planning, ceremony site, music, cake, refreshments,
photos and video -- and anything else your imagination comes
up with! These
forms simply get us going.
You
can count on me!!
I offer LOTS of support!
You'll be totally confident of my presence!
Wedding rehearsal is included --so everyone in your party
knows exactly what to do and when, and you can all relax
and have the time of your life!
I arrive early for the ceremony and stay as long as you
desire.
Every one of your vendors will have a copy of your ceremony,
so their part in it is assured of grace and smoothness. And
if there's anything else I've not covered here that you'd
like to include -- just ask!
I am here to serve you, with joy and enthusiasm!
OBTAINING
A MARRIAGE
LICENSE
To
be married in California, you must obtain a marriage license
from the clerk registrar's office in ANY county in California
within 90 days of your marriage date; it may be used in
ANY county in California. Please see the list at the end
of this section for Registrars' Offices in Southern California.
There are no blood test requirements in California and no
waiting period for marriage licenses.
There are two types of marriage licenses available in the
state of California: Public and Confidential. Public Licenses
are only available from an office of the clerk registrar
in any county. The requirements for a Public Marriage License
are listed below. Public Marriage Licenses create a public
record and allow anyone access to your marriage information
now and in the future.
Requirements
for a Confidential Marriage License in California
Confidential
Marriage Licenses are available at an office of the clerk
registrar in any county. In Riverside County they are also
available from 15 designated Notary Publics. They are only
available to couples over the age of 18 who have been living
together for at least one year. Confidential Marriage Licenses
create a private record of marriage that is only accessible
by either party in the marriage or by court order. The records
are sealed, now and in the future. Should anyone other than
the couple (including future children) desire access to
the marriage record, it can only be obtained through court
order. Exceptional Celebrations is able to issue Confidential
Marriage Licenses.
